Graphic Tee Size Guide

Most sizing disappointments happen because someone ordered their usual letter size without checking what that letter actually means on that garment. Sizes can be exchanged within 30 days of delivery, but the return postage is on you. Two minutes with a tape measure removes the guesswork.

How to measure yourself

Chest: measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape level and not pulling it tight. Halve that number to compare against the flat chest width in the chart below.

Body length: measure from the highest point of the shoulder straight down to where you want the hem to sit.

Easier alternative: take a t-shirt you already own and like the fit of, lay it flat, and measure it. Compare those numbers to the chart. This is the most reliable method there is.

Reading our measurements

Chest width is measured flat, across the garment one inch below the armhole, so a 20 inch chest width equals a 40 inch garment circumference. Body length runs from the high point of the shoulder to the hem. Sleeve length is measured from the centre of the back of the collar, over the shoulder, to the end of the sleeve. Adult tee measurements

Tolerance is 1.5 in (3.8 cm) for every measurement. Sweatshirts and hoodies have their own charts on their product pages, and they are cut more generously than the tee.

How our tees fit

All our adult tees, sweatshirts and hoodies use one cut: a classic unisex fit with a straight body, a set-in sleeve and the shoulder seam at the shoulder edge. It is roomy rather than tight. Order your usual size for a relaxed fit, or one size down for a closer one.

Sizes run from S to 5XL. For the larger end of the range, plus size and big and tall collect the designs available in 2XL to 5XL. Not every colour comes in every size, so check the size buttons for the colour you want.

Unisex sizing if you normally wear women's sizes

Unisex follows a men's cut: straighter through the waist, wider at the shoulder. For a fitted look, order one size down from your usual. For a relaxed, borrowed fit, keep your size. For a genuinely roomy fit, go one up.

Youth, toddler and baby sizing

Age labels are a rough guide only, since children vary widely at the same age. Compare the chest and length measurements below with something that fits the child now. If a child is between sizes or growing fast, size up one. See kids' graphic tees and toddler and baby graphic tees.

Youth sweatshirt (XS to XL)

Tolerance 1.0 in (2.5 cm). Sleeve is measured from the centre back.

Kids tee (XS to XL)

Classic fit. Tolerance 1.0 in (2.5 cm). Sleeve is measured from the centre back.

Toddler tee (2T to 5T)

Tolerance 1.5 in (3.8 cm).

Baby tee (6M to 24M)

Tolerance 1.0 in (2.5 cm).

Baby bodysuit (NB to 24M)

Sizes run true, so take the age band that matches.

Frequently asked questions

Should I size up in a graphic tee?

Only if you want a looser fit than standard, or if you plan to tumble dry on high heat. The unisex cut is already roomy.

How much do graphic tees shrink?

Around 3-5% in length on cotton, mostly on a first hot wash. Cold washing and low-heat drying keeps it close to zero.

What if I am between two sizes?

Take the larger size for a relaxed fit, the smaller for a fitted one. If you are buying it as a gift, take the larger. Still unsure? Email us before ordering and we will help you choose.

Can I exchange it if the size is wrong?

Yes, within 30 days of delivery, as long as it is unworn and unwashed. Email us first and we will send you the return instructions; you pay the return postage. We then make you a new one in the right size at no extra charge. If the item is faulty or misprinted, we replace or refund it and you do not need to send it back.
